These seven luxury cars have enough cargo capacity for convenient summer road trips
Luxury cars are pleasant in pretty much all circumstances, but they’re especially pleasant on road trips. Their plush cabins and premium accommodations permit you to travel in style. For the most convenient road tour, you’ll need a luxury car with lots of cargo capacity.
Below, we’ve listed the seven luxury cars that suggest the most cargo space. Our list includes wagons like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class wagon, sedans like the Maserati Quattroporte, and hatchbacks like the BMW three Series Gran Turismo.
Fuel economy is a key consideration when selecting a luxury car for a road journey, so we’ve included each vehicle’s EPA rating. We’ve also listed each model’s base price, with delivery charges included.
Only a handful of car shoppers select cars with manual transmissions, so our pricing figures spotlight each model’s least expensive choice with an automatic or continuously variable transmission. Similarly, we’ve listed mileage figures that concentrate on the fuel economy of models with transmissions that shift the gears for you.
Our list doesn’t include hybrids and electrified cars. We’ve taken a look at hybrids in a separate road-trip list that’s faithful to green cars. Electrified vehicles are excluded because their limited range makes them less-than-ideal choices for road trips.
