Northport Police arrested a man they say was attempting to break into a residence Monday night. Officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress in the six thousand eight hundred block of McFarland Boulevard at eleven p.m. They encountered a man who ran, said department spokesman Lt. Demopolis Police say they arrested a man who broke into a police substation earlier this month. Antonio Larrenzo Murray, 31, was a member of the cleaning squad that did after-hour clean-ups at Vowell’s Supermarket, said Demopolis Police Chief Tommie Reese. Narcotics agents arrested two people suspected of making methamphetamine after one threw an active meth lab at an officer. Dewey Selven Coley Jr., 38, and Jennifer Roberts Taylor, 33, were arrested after the early morning bust at a residence in the twelve thousand block of Roberts Road in Coker. Two people were killed in an overnight fire in the Brookhaven neighborhood off Hargrove Road.
