I’m done.

I get that we live in an ad supported world now and for the most part, I’ve become accustom to it, but either yourself or your chosen ad model is truly screwing up. The full-page ads that pop up, covering your entire app without even touching anything, is beyond annoying. I can’t even begin to describe it here. One in particular, pops up for “cracking news” from what I can only imagine takes you to a competitors site. There’s no way to close it without it launching Safari and taking you to strange website. You have to abandon your app to get past it.

The ads are terrible and cause it crash

The app has a terrible ad problem. Randomly while reading an article or clicking on a article and ad comes up and covers the entire screen. Then if you accidentally press the ad it takes you to a website or the App Store, but if you attempt to go back to the KRON four app it’s just keeps repping the ad and the link you press causing you to leave the app. It does this over and over till you fully close the app from the multitasking screen. It’s super frustrating and a truly crappy ad system. Earnestly why are there ads on a news app. Plus the app just looks indeed tack covered in ada. Kinda disappointing that’s there is so many and the company is ok with how they affect it’s users.

Too many ads to even observe news stories.

I get that the app needs to make money through advertising. But while watching news stories, popup ads come up on mobile devices in the middle of watching the news story. I was already compelled to see an ad before the story, and an ad after the story, but to have an ad pop up stopping the story in the middle and taking over the screen is ridiculous. I don’t know if this is a bug or by design, but it’s terrible either way. This comes from someone who works in professional broadcast media. Thanks for reading.
